Ray Ciccolo’s Village Automotive Group has acquired Central Saab of Norwood.  Central was previously located at 70 Providence Highway, Route 1 on the Automile in Norwood.

 

The dealership, which will be called Saab of Norwood, will join the Village Automotive Group’s Cadillac Village of Norwood and HUMMER Village of Norwood’s 8-acre location at 700 Providence Highway on the Automile.

 

“We have had a lot of success with the Saab brand,” said Village Automotive Group President Ray Ciccolo. “This acquisition is one that we are very excited about, and one that strengthens our presence even more on the Automile,” he added.

 

Saab of Norwood is the Group’s second Saab dealership, joining Charles River Saab of Watertown (located on Arsenal Street).  The two dealerships combined are the largest Saab organization in New England, and one of the largest in America.

 

Charles River Saab is the oldest Saab dealership in the United States, having recently celebrated its golden 50^th anniversary.  Charles River Saab was also recently presented the 2007 GM Mark of Excellence Award, recognizing dealers who have committed themselves to unsurpassed performance and customer satisfaction.

 

With the new Saab location located less than 2 miles from the former Central Saab location, the acquisition will be a convenient one for service customers.  In addition, having owned the oldest Saab dealer in the United States, the Village Automotive Group will bring a wealth of talented Saab enthusiasts, including skilled technicians and sales staff to the mix.

Saab of Norwood will join the Village Automotive Group family which includes Cadillac Village of Norwood, HUMMER Village of Norwood, Boston Volvo Village in Brighton, Charles River Saab of Watertown, Honda Village of Newton, Nissan Village of North Attleboro and Hyundai Village of Danvers.

The Cadillac/HUMMER location that Saab will be joining is the number one Cadillac and Hummer dealer in New England.  The dealership was recently awarded Cadillac’s Master Dealer Award, honoring exceptional customer satisfaction and retail sales excellence, for the third consecutive year.
